Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

PawRakshak ("we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of people who use our app to report, rescue, and adopt animals. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, phone number, city.
  • Rescue reports: photos, location, condition of the animal, and notes you share.
  • Volunteer information: ID proof, experience, areas of operation.
  • Device data: device tokens used to send rescue notifications.

How we use it

  • To connect injured animals with nearby volunteers and vets.
  • To verify volunteers before approving them.
  • To improve the app and prevent misuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Contact details are shared only with the volunteer or vet handling a case, and only when needed to help the animal. Volunteer ID proofs are visible only to PawRakshak admins.

Your rights

You can update or delete your profile from the Me page, or write to us at support@pawrakshak.org for deletion of your account and associated data.

Security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with row-level security rules so only you (and authorised admins) can see your records. ID proofs are stored in a private bucket accessible to admins only.
